Terrific image Michael! I think the blacks could be a little blacker (levels adjustment), but the whites sure look good!

Exceptional white on white. The angle, posture, snow on the nose and the look on that face. Beautiful!

Welcome, Michael. Awesome first post. I agree with Doug re the black point. Have tried a version, simply settling a black point with levels but then masking the effect to the face and legs only - this darkened the eyes a little so I concealed the effect on the iris and then did a saturation and vibrance boost masked to the irises only - hope you don't mind.

    Michael,

Welcome and nice first post. Good comment on the levels adjustment. Capture data would be the exposure and ISO you created the image at.

Though the blue in the image is OK (typical for images with snow and soft light), you could try removing it for a different look.

    Hope to see more soon.

    Hello Michael,

    SWEET IMAGE!

Nice to see you posting and it was great having you with us in Churchill.

Simply pulling the left slider to the right in Levels will make a world of difference in the image. And, with a few more tweaks you have a wll hanger for sure ;)

    Best to you and Angela,

    Chas

White on white at its best. Not much wrong with your original post, but I like Tony's repost. A superb image, and well captured.

Thank you for your encouragement and advice and in particular to Tony and Chas for taking the trouble to rework the image, they are a significant improvement on my original post.
With regard to "white on white" my mentor, Chas Glatzer, invested a considerable amount of time during a Yellowstone workshop showing me how use incident light and spot metering effectively.
