I shot this leopard at Nagarhole National Park India, during the photography workshop taken by Sabyasachi.Patra.

Being new to DPP, I had problems in bringing the file size down to 200kb due to the large file size in 50D.

Will upload the remaining photos soon.

    The image is cropped.

You have the cat framed well with the colorful flowers and foliage. The contrast is very high. If you are using Photoshop or other similar program with curves adjustment, look at my reverse s-curve tutorial at http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=20434 for details in reducing contrast.

For instructions on making the JPG (based on PSCS), go to http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ead.php?t=5598 and about 1/2 way down the first post to "Free Excerpt: Creating an Action for your BPN J-PEGS".

Love the alert pose in this image and the great eye contact. One of the most beautiful cats and congratulations on your capture.

Hi Mrudul Love he in your face leopard Best angle to capture it !!!

The PhotoShop fix is very easy. if you are using CS4 the new curves toolbox has a little hand in the upper left hand corner. Just click on the box and then place your curser were you want to modify the image. By clicking and moving the cursor down it alters the curve, like magic !!!

If you don't have CS4 (suggest getting if possible) it can be adjusted with levels. Just move the midtone slider to the right. Easy !!!

    Mrudul,
I was waiting to see this shot from you.

It was the last day last show and we had to rush back soon after. The leopard vanished after the first sighting lasting a few minutes. We had to wait for about an hour before it reappeared.

The blacks have been clipped but nothing that can't be corrected in post processing. Some nice suggestions given in the previous posts. Let us know if you have any issues in pp. A small portion of the flower appears on the left side of the frame. Can be easily cropped. Lovely gaze. I am surprised as well by the sharpness at 1/40. A beautiful cat and hard to find.
    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
