This is too good and put a big smile on my face. Is this at a feeder? Above the feeder? Great BKGR and EXP. And what a moment. In an ideal world, the lower bird would have a better head angle.

The perch mesuring only 12" long and was put directly on the snow. Pieces of peanuts were scattered around.

    Thanks for your comment!

Beautiful, Nicholas - love the soft textures of the birds, the contarst with the interesting perch , snow adds to it and a lovely BG. Just enough separation between tail and bill. Good use of DOF.

I really like the different poses and your exposure/techs look spot on from my end. The pale sky makes a wonderful BG- a sweet image all around.

Nicolas, this is so nicely done. The image has an animated feel about it. Exposure, comp, soft light, and saturation all look perfect to me. I also have never layed eyes on the species.

Absolutely lovely shot. The muted colors are wonderful. I think I might darken the catchlight very slightly in the eye of the bird on the right but that is really a minor point.

Very Beautiful!! really liked the picture for all its aspects apart, the partly cloudy BKGR is complimenting the birds color.
