    Hi Lady Denise,
I like the composition and capture. You have a good sharp clear eye and good details. The perch is a bit too long...I modified your base image by cropping 1/4 from the bottom and cloned out the hole and the knot in the pole. I opened up the blacks on the eagle to bring out more details in the feathers. also toned down the hot spots in the head. I reconstructed the bill, adding texture to it. and boosted saturation and contrast with a light sprinkle of selective sharpening around the eye and on selective portions on the body...see if this sits well with you...you did well...:)

Denise, great shot! I like the slight removal of the perch from the bottom. Somewhere between the first and second for the dark feathers. Were the whites blown on the original file?? Glad to hear your PC is up and running finally!!!

Glad your PC in back and running !!!

I like the corp suggestion Whites are just on the ragged edge and not much you can do since light is harsh. My main problem with the image is the steep angle again nothing much you can do.

Got a suggestion for shadow/highlight This is one strange setting but works very well since it will not cause halos and looks sort of good. I have my default set to 12/24/255 Might want to try. Just posting the original with my setting and no other work for comparison.

Hi Jackie those are my settings for shadow/highlight
    amount 12
    tonal width 24
    radius 255

Anytime you use S/H you can produce halos This setting seem help out in that regard plus does a decent job.
