I realize the head-turn Police will get after me for this one, but I am fond of the graphic design of the overall image. I did nothing in PP except remove a few branches from the right side of the image and add a tiny tip to the lower tail feather.
I like this one, too, despite the head angle. Very nice details and BG. The branches behind the bird are a bit distracting and the eye looks overflashed. Could you post some techs?
I don't have enough knowledge to look at minimum details so basically I also look at the over all image. A quetzal is so beautiful and I would take any picture with one of them on it. You are really lucky coz not just anybody has the opportunity to even see these guys! Well done! Cheers!

Reason: typos
Beautiful Susan, great job with sharpness and DOF. HA is what it is and here the image is still wonderful. BG and the mossy perch looks very nice also.
Where is the image from?
Somewhere in Costa Rica with Todd Gustafson. I too am not too crazy about the u-l-c so how about this repost?

u-l-c is the upper left corner. Since lots of folks did not care a ton for the u-l-c, and since the tail is the outstanding feature of the image, I created a crop that showed only the best part.

in your repost, you can only see very lowest part of the entire image. That is why I was confused. I'd like to see the entire repost, if possible. Thank you
Hi Susan, I am either not doing a very good job of explaining or you are not doing a very good job of understanding. The image with the tail is the entire re-post.

Susan I like a lot this one and only wish for an slightly better head turn and a little bit of more room at the left (very little). I do not like the effect of flash in the eye but it is very easy to fix.
