    Default Burrowing Owl

    Hello Everyone,
We were chasing after raptors yesterday in Marana Az. My friend had found some of these owls a few weeks ago so I was hoping to get some pictures while we were there. This was taken just after sunrise. It’s a slight crop, about 80% of the original. The background is a cotton field that was harvested some time ago. I was able to climb down an irrigation culvert and set my tripod just below the bird.
    Thanks for looking…tom

Sweet light! The alert pose and pleasant BG make the Owl jump out at us nicely.
F/10 and you still got a nicely blurred BG. Did you do any selectiveBG blurring or was the BG that far back? Either way very nice!

You had a great light angle and soft light too. Composition looks good, and I like the soft BG. Did you do some clone work on the perch?

The owl really pops from the BG so well. This is pin sharp, and those eyes are simply amazing. Super BG too. Great image Tom.

Great light, pose and BG. I might sharpen the bird a tad more.
