This photo was created this morning. The squirrels weren't around so using a smaller branch worked.

I like the angle and details and wish for a bit more head turn and might blur the BG some more.

The Bg is a little bit distracting and, considering the intensity of colours in the bunting, I would try to reduce the saturation of the Bg a little bit. The pose is very nice and the eye contact fantastic!

Great looking bird but I too find the B/G a bit distracting, pose, colours and sharpness are very nice.

Agree with above comments. Here's a repost with a desaturated BG; I also tried to darken some of the bright areas of the BG.

    Rod,

Getting green with envy here, as I can't attract those little rascals into my yard yet!

I'd actually like to see just a bit more head turn when looking back over the shouldler. I think your posing stick is now the right size, but the branches look cut instead of broken off (read: not natural). Get some sticks of this same size, and just break the branches off by hand so it looks more natural. You'll have the posing stuff right then. I realize it sounds like a really minor nit, but it will make a big difference I think.

Again, I am definitely envious of the images you'll be putting up of these guys this winter!

Doug - Love the BG in the re-post!
