    Can't find all the details on this one but I think it was with 30D and 300 F4LIS + 1.4, also don't know why but when I post, the photo seems to be losing some noticeable sharpness?

    That Spring capture is a welcomed sight here in the Northeast after the ice storm that sill has 100K of homes without power - read heat- it is 18 degree F here on the Maine coast tonight. I like the comp, pose, light and habitat in this capture. Bob

    I like the eye contact and perch and agree that the bird looks quite soft and I find the branch in the BG a bit distracting.

    Looks like the focus was just a tad behind the bird as the leaves look sharp enough. The background branch is distracting to me as well. I'm wishing for it to be completely gone or else more branches/flowers to cover the sky some even more since they are nicely out of focus. Pose looks good and the colors are good. The feeling of spring is most apparent.
