Shock!;) Pretty huge crop and a non-stop stop by Don..In other words he could have stopped since we were in the arboretum..but no.......so this a rolling, out the window event.

    M111, 300f2.8+1.4TC, ISO 400, 1/50, manual..and the settings stink

Pretty good for a drive by shooting Nonda.:) I take it you are not pleased with the 1/50th. Still looks fairly sharp. Good job with the cropping, you do have an eye for composition.

No I wasn't pleased with the 1/50th or the vibrating car. The light was just wonderful and the deer are fairly use to cars. There were 4 images prior to this one so a couple extra seconds could have made quite a difference. The above image I call 'spray and pray'.

Couldn't agre more with Jackie's comment: you do have an eye for composition. Really tooooo bad that the chauffeur didn't stop. Of course, there usually isn't but a blink of a second between stopping the car and the deer bounding away.

Sorry I am snarking about Don's driving, this was from last year and he is much better now. Threatened to whack the boy in the head with the 300:p

Thanks Gail on the comp..I think comp/cropping is the hardest thing in the world.

The flowers, the light and connection make this for me, Nonda. Very, very nice.

    Thanks!

Alfred have a bean bag, which I love, works great in my car, doesn't work in Don's, door to tall or set is too low.

Oooh don't use the 300!!! Beanbag is far more effective and less expensive!!!;):p
Know EXACTLY how you feel Nonda!! My driver doesn't consider it worthwhile stopping unless the animal\bird is in the middle of the road carrying a sign identifying it.:o:(
Still a super comp and sharp considering how you took it!!!
