    Default Western Meadowlark in habitat

I got a nice look at this Western Meadowlark while heading back to my car at Bolsa Chica a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately the sun cooperated long enough to get this photo. We only got about 10 minutes of sun the entire day, but the birds tended to bask in it when it did come out.

Nicely done. Why the high ISO in the sun? (Forgot to change it???) I like the COMP and the look-back HA. Darkening the pupil and lightening the iris would give it more pop.

Super comp, and framed nicely between the two strands of foliage. Lovely pose captured too Doug.
