This is pretty dynamic! The head is quite sharp, exposure looks good, and an appealing BG. I also like the wing blur. Might try to add some green on the yellowish spot touching the throat, and I think the comp would benefit from a small crop below. All-in-all great job!

Great focus on the head and face. The colors look a bit too saturated on my screen, especially the light aqua color on the wings. Maybe something like this??

Incredible focus on head combined with that strong motion blur on wings. Great catch. I think there is especially strong excess of blue and "cyan" tones on the body.

This is phenomenal. And to think that the on-line geniuses proclaim that the 40D cannot focus well in AI Servo AF mode. You gotta love it. The BKGr is lovely but there is too much green. For the repost, all that I did was crop from the bottom and use the "Protect and defend" technique detailed in a recent BAA Bulletin to eliminate the large yellow area below the throat as Daniel suggested.

The sharp face and the powerful pose are fabulous. Way to go and keep them coming.

Thanks to Leroy for his repost. The differences are slight and I love both versions, all three in fact.

Very dynamic and exciting image. Riveting eye contact that makes you feel like the target. All three versions work well for me.
