Help!!! There's something about this shot, although I like the pose, that I don't like
and can't put my finger on it. At first I thought possibly the whites were "Off" since the birds head is a "dirty" white but it's an older bird and look at the few feathers
above the left leg, they are whiter than the head and the wing is raised so those feathers are in the shade. I've only been using a 35mm for 7 months, never owned one before, so obviously I don't know the questions much less the answers.
This forum has taught me a lot in a very short time, so I'm counting on you to help me straighten this one out!!! Thanks.....Larry

    I'm a 2nd year rookie myself.

Neat wings up pose you caught him in. Majestic looking.

Can you post the EXIF data for everyone? Or do you really mean 35mm ~film? If so, ISO, shutter, aperature, etc?
It looks like it might have just been a day with not the greatest sunlight?

A little noise in the left wing on my monitor.

As far as the shot, maybe a tad over exposed? -.5 might give him deeper browns, but at the expense of the feather detail maybe? Will always be tough on a low light day.

But you got pulled off a magnificent shot and facial look!

    Happy shooting...

    Hi Larry,

The crop is too tight on this one and the bottom perch is rather distracting. Not the best looking Eagle out there and I think that's what you are referring to. Keep them coming!

    Hi Larry ,
This image seems flat to me and needs a little more processing. I would be more aggressive in setting the black and white points and I would use a S curve to add some contrast., last I would use another curve layer with a layer mask to lighten the head.
