    Captured this skimmer while walking the beach at Ft. Myers at sunset.
    D200, VR 70-300 at 270MM, f7.1, ss1/200, manual exposure, spot metered, flash(-1.7)

    Very beautiful image with lovely reflections and excellent eye contact which is quite difficult with skimmers, I do find the crop to be a tad tight and would like to see more canvas on the top and to the left. Congratulations and thanks for sharing Ed.

    I like the eye contact, mood and reflection and agree that it needs more space top, left and right. Keep them coming!

    Agree about more space but you've exposed this spot on, love the detail in the blacks and the whites, not easy to do.

    I appreciate your comments. I went into over-crop mode trying to eliminate the incoming wave. Here is the un-cropped capture, I could not decide if the wave was a major distraction.
