    Default Red-winged blackbird

I photographed this Red-winged Blackbird yesterday in Belfair, Wa.
A very high ISO image, especially for the 40D. One round of NR applied.

I like the pose and you have framed it well. The exposure on the bird is good...showing some detail but there appear to be a few hot spots on the wood (at least on the computer I'm on now). Usually I like for more room around the bird but I think this one may work as is. I think that the NR may have "smeared" some of your details and would be tempted to redo it trying less NR.

    Hi Bonnie,

I like the pose with the red patch visible and the over the back look. The composition is good too. Perhaps just a little SH tool in ps on just the bird would bring out a little more detail in the dark areas.
