Well, I just got through with my first visit to this wonderous place and I am speechless! The sight and sounds of thousands of snow geese over your head just cannot be described or even shown in an image. This is one of my images taken last night. I am doing this on my laptop, so excuse pp issues. I cannot wait to get home to see them on my proper monitor. This one taken with the Nikon D300, Nikon 500 f4 with 1.4 TC, iso 640, f10, ec -.7
Hello Nancy!
It sounds like Bosque is a place to visit, as far as I have seen here, it looks a lot like our Palo Verde NP, I just can't wait to February. But well, I am here to talk about your picture. Very nice details, you took good care of the whites and that is very important. Good looking bird.
Yes to great place and good EXP control but lots of room to improve on this one:
1-poor near-wing position
2-wing tips of far wing lost in dark BKGR
3-bird too small in frame (or at least too centered)
4-shadow on head caused by poor light angle (well to the right).
Cropping from below and behind would improve this.
