This image is a remake of an original made in 1969. Gail and I decided to get the old mouse (yes he is the original 39 year old guy!) and recreate the image we used as a Christmas card that year. It was fun to try to make it the same as to first one.

Best for the new year and christmas hollidays
This year I choosed for my postcard one of my feathers images. I rarely post feathers images in this forum because I am not sure where to post them. This one is from a couple of years ago and it was made during a rutinary veterinary that a friend did on a captive goura. Soft light and dark BG in the vet clinic of the zoo and I used an spot light to add a touch of warm magic to the beautiful feathers of the crown of this amazing creature. By the way, she was very calm and quiet while my friend was taking a blood sample of her.
This image is part of a series that I am working on in which I tell stories about bird conservation using images of their feathers. A loooong term project by the way.
