    This shot is from the same series as the milkweed shot below. I moved in closer to try to capture flow and texture of the tuft. Desaturated and then added a slight warming filter. Anxious for further thoughts and guideance.
    40d, f/32, 1/15 sec, ISO 100, Canon 100mm macro on manual focus.

    I like the composition and the patterns formed Dave...my only suggestion would be to tone down just slightly the reflective light coming off the strings...well done...:cool:

    Thanks Gus. I had mixed feelings about the highlights myself, but wanted to get some feedback from the pros. I'll work with your suggestion.

    Looks like silk!! Good sugg. by Gus- If it were mine I would I would take a little from the top as to put the stem in corner(just below the dbl white spots on top bloom)

    Dave, I agree with Gus about toning down those highlights. I think it would be okay if there were fewer of them at the "hot point" but with so many of them throughout the image it does look more like an exposure issue rather than a natural light condition.

    Nice overall image, though. I can practically feel the tickle of the hairs!

    I like the image and the highlights don't bother me much Not sure how you would tone them down other than in camera while making the iamge. Just an appealing image !!
