From this afternoon at Green Cay Nothing special but I like it The bird was walking at me and covered by some vegetation at time obscured. Waited for the frontal area to be mostly cleared and open the lens wide open. Trying for this sort of effect but not sure it was working. What do you think?

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

HI Al - I like the pastel BG and the soft feel to this one. Personal taste I would have liked the tip of the bill in focus.

Hi Lance at this distance the dof is measured in milimeters you might wish for it but its impossible to have !!!

not sure about the head angle Denise but are arranging for bail money if needed :) I have one with head totally centered and did not look good with the merge on the neck.

My favorite for these guys is one with the bird directly above me like you get on a fishing pier and the bird looking down. Eyes look some kind of spooky !!!

My kind of image..I LOVE, LOVE the dof and that really does it for me. The BG is super with the focus right on the eyes. One of my favs of yours Alfred, it rocks!

Sometimes it is all about the 'feel', elegant, moody, bit edgy..Ohoo I so like this

    Hi Al,
Like the shot, and I like Lances' idea about having the tip in focus. Nice softness to it and beautiful BG. Would you add more canvas at the bottom, looks a little tight to me :)

i think it is kinda special. it's different and that makes it special in itself! the soft, natural bg makes it for me.

The pose is captivating. Who would have thought that their eyes bulge out like that.
