    D300, 80-400vr @400, 1/200, f8, iso560, AV, matrix metering, 0 ev comp.

    Todd,

    I like the beaver, side angle of the head and the paws up but the room on the right and bottom does not help the image IMO. I would crop from right and bottom. Leave more room on right then on left about a 1/3 to 2/3 ratio.

    I find the background too close to the beaver and isolation of the subjects is difficult. I guess there isn't much of an option with this type of shot. Sharpness is very nice.

    Todd,
    I agree with the previous suggestions. A slight crop at the bottom would be better. Some space at the top would have been nice. Do you have a vertical?

    Thanks for the suggestions and comments. I do have more room with this image and many others of this adult and of the kit in both horizontal and vertical.

    Agree with suggestions and particularly like the shadow detail. Ratio was i like Robert's idea, downloaded the image to physically see and does look good !! Still have room for the little guy to look into.

    Really like the pose and the habitat inclusion. The texture/color of the fur doesn't provide much seperation from the BG (good for him, bad for us). He's a chunky one.
