Spotted this beauty early one clear morning in the shade of a stand of trees. There was early sun on the waters behind amd below this beauty causing a slight rimlight effect.

The bird is a Great Egret and I really like the image, the pose, the soft light, and especially the BKGR. Hard to believe that it is water. Sharp, enough d-o-f for the bird, and yet a nice soft BKGR.

Hi Artie, Yes I know it's a great egret. Just used great white as title for image. As stated, the water was below the bird's position. The lighter green is vegetation above the water in the morning sun. I imaged in aperture priority (learned from you) with +.3 compensation.
