    From Morro Bay. I had to clone out a stick that ran right behind the birds head. Taken lying on the ground to get the least obstructed view.

    400D, 100-400 at 400
    1/320, f/5.6, ISO 400
    About 75% of full frame

    Sharp with a nice BKGR. Looks a bit dingy--flash would help that. Could use a bit more room above. The subject is in less than ideal feather.

    Nice and sharp and the neutral BG is good looking.

    Agree with the above comment on the dingy light. Flash would have helped here. A little tight in the frame for me also.

    Agree with previous comments re: light and being tightly framed. It's nice and sharp with a good BG though...and a cool subject too. Well captured.
