Default White Wagtail (Motacilla Alba) in flight...

Well...this is my first picture here. I'm still a beginner concerning photography.
I took the picture of this white wagtail in a small delta close to the
    Barcelona Airport in Spain.

Welcome Marion...Nice capture of the Wagtail! IMHO, some additional canvas on the LHS and at the top would create some breathing room. I'm no expert, but here's a 5 minute fix using cut and paste and cloning with Photo Shop...tom

Welcome to BPN, Marion and great first post. Good timing to catch the launch into flight so well. I agree with Tom that some room for the bird to move into is a good idea and he has illustrated it well. A little selective sharpening on the head would be good as this looks a little soft. Looking forward to more images from Spain.

Welcome. A good job of capturing the jump from the perch. The sharpest focus seems to be near the tail and the head is angled slightly away from you. Great BKGR.

Welcome to BPN Marion...I'm sure you'll love it. Nice capture, though as mentioned the focus point is just missing the critical head area and as posted the bird needs more room to 'fly into'....Tom's repost looks good. Wonder what it would look like if you moved the stump to make it look like the bird was flying to it, rather than away from it (if you don't mind making those alterations?). Look forward to seeing more.

    Cheers, Dean

Bienvenida Marion, un placer ver tus imágenes por aquí :) I have been photographing this little guys in flight and it is not easy to do, very little and fast subjetcs. Here you captured a nice action with a soft BG that I like. I agree about the need for more room at the left and about the slightly out of focus head. The wings pose and hanging feet are great and I love the complimentary colors in the bird and BG. I also think that a vertical crop would work here. Keep them coming

Thank YOU all for your constructive comments! You are totally right
concerning the need of a bit more space for the bird to 'fly into' BUT
there was no more space as the bird was nearly gone when I took the picture.

    Saludos,
    Marion
