Default Feeding Time ~ Tree Swallows

I was fortunate enough to have a brood raised in an actual tree cavity near home this year rather than a nest box.

The nice part about this spot was that the late afternoon light illuminated it beautifully as the sun was setting behind me.

A tender moment well timed. The light shows up the wing detail excellently, and overall, nice and sharp. I would maybe take a bit off the LHS. Great image.

Great timing, behavior, and details. The pose is almost comical. I would put the birds a bit further to the left in the frame.

Simply Amazing!! Perfect timming. Since now you know the spot you can afford to take more pic. I would definitely like to see more of the head turned by adult to towards its left so that the bird would be parllel to the frame and in that scenario the light would be excellent too.

Awesome Jim, the timing is just perfect and the light is fantastic.

The only possible change for me would be a little off the top and or left side, its a little loose maybe, but just great as is...

Great image shot at the right moment! Beautiful exposure.
This seems like a hard image to crop - the wing calls for horizontal but the tree calls for vertical.

PDS = pretty darned spectacular. I would like only to see the adult's dark face lightened a bit. Perfect job of capturing the peak of the action, sharp, and great EXP.
