The bear had just pulled his paws from the water with dinner in between them. The shot has been cropped to focus on the bear and his catch.

    Hi Monte

The thing that jumps at me is the color Saturation has been cranked up big time. Would work again and desat, actually process again and don't touch the saturation slider. Hope this is not a jpeg with saturation turned up during in camera processing?

Image wise I like the action, would prefer seeing seeing the eyes which are always powerful in images. Waiting a few seconds he might have looked up a little bit !! Do re post in this same thread if you work the image again !!!! Looking forward to more bears !!!

Nice shot Monte. I'd love to have seen this 'in real life'.

I see Alfred's point about having eye contact with the bear but I'm not sure I agree with him. I love the eye contact with the fish. To me, the shot you have given us is about a fish being caught by a bear whereas if we were to see the bear's eye, it would be about a bear catching a fish. Does that make sense? Apart from the saturation (I agree with Alfred 100% about that) the only change I'd make would be to crop some off the bottom to get the fish's eye closer to an intersection of thirds.

    Cheers.

    Sean
