    Good catch for you and the bird. The image looks too tight in the frame. I wonder why vertical and not horizontal?

    I was disappointed with that, as well. I was switching back and forth between a natural perch and the nest box and did not have time to change from portrait to landscape before the bird entered the nest box with the skink. This image was cropped but only on the left side to eliminate distracting elements. Too bad he (she) did not stop on the natural perch first.

    I agree......would have liked all the bird and it would have been a real treat on the natural perch. However, if you have one coming to a nest box I'm sure there'll be more opportunities. Still an interesting capture.
