    Canon 50D; 300mm f/2.8L IS w/2x TC; Tripod-mounted

    1/640sec @ f/5.6; ISO 200; -1/3EV; Sunny WB; FL 600mm (EFL 960mm)

    Hi ED, not to many nits from me here but would have liked to see a little more canvas in front of the bird. Great detail, eye contact, and exposure and the circles of water are good, nice job.

    Good find and good head angle. Could use some more sharpening and the eye could be brigthened a bit.

    As for me, I would like to see some more feathers on its head? (I do not thinik that that is a typical head shape for that species.)

    It does look soft to me as well. I would like the opportunity to see one of these! Your low perspective is nice.

    agree the eye looks a little soft. love the water and your exposure looks great!! would love to see one of these myself!!

    You are no doubt correct but... here is a poor image of an American Wigeon made the same day. All I did was resize. Note the indentation on the back of the head. Hmmm!!! Those darn New Jersey ducks! :eek:
