    Excellent pose Jack Sure like the look back Wish for a little more room around the tail and also more green in the bg would have been nice. I like the overall mood !!!

    btw not sure as to the light source? Flash was used I see an extra catchlight which would remove. Tail section is a little dark.

    Hi Jack! The bird is nice and sharp but perhaps just a little oversharpened. Great pose and eye contact. Agree with Al about needing a little more room and also about the BG. For critiquing and education, it helps for you to post complete tech specs on your photos.

    I agree with the nits already mentioned about space around the bird. Nice light on the bird. I would also clone out the second catchlight in the eye.

    Good stuff above to which I would add: too contrasty. SH/H could lighten the BKGR and a reverse S-curve could reduce the contrast. The seed husks on the base of the bill are distracting.

    Was this image created at a feeder sset-up?
