Lovely shot, John. I really like the wings down and angled body position. Great detail and I like how the colours of the plumage are repeated in the vegetation in the BG. Well done.

EXCELENT flight image with a terrific light, Bg, eye contact and wing stroke. I wouldn´t change a single bit on this image John. Superb job!

Excellent. Everything looks good. The bonus vegetation at bottom puts this over-the-top! Even the canvasback is flying slighlty towards the viewer, super :-)

No fair. Tony stole my whole critique. I can only add that a strong image would have been improved with a bit more room in front of the bird.

Thanks Artie for commenting and your suggestion for more room on the right. The good news is I've got another 10-15% available-I just cropped it too tight. I need to go back to the RAW file and re-do this one. I just learned another time saving lesson-crop last. Thanks!

Hey John, You are welcome. Not sure why the 3X2 proportion looks so good in some cases but with a flying duck it is easier to figure that out.

I did a quick rework from the raw file with a bit more room in front of the duck.

I like the comp of the repost, John, but we seem to have lost some of the green of the original. Really lovely flight image.

Tony, thanks for looking back in. I think I got the crop right but agree with you that I lost on the color with this conversion. I'm in the middle of setting up a new Vista PC and getting all my software installed. Looks like a rework is in order.

Way to go John. Compositionally, the repost is much better and I am sure that you will get the color right.
