    Default Back from Bosque...

I did Bosque IPT #2 with Artie, Robert O and Scott B. Had a great time, as usual, and came back with at least a few keepers. It's been months since I last posted something (shame on me), so here goes...

Head angle isn't perfect, sun angle is off a bit, but I like the pose, bg and sharpness.

Lovely landing posture captured here, and the head is pin sharp. He stands out nicely from the BG, but I would clone out the two bits of grass from below the feet. Still well captured Dan.

Great sharpness on the important parts. Blurred wingtips give a nice sense of motion. Would prefer a little more room below. Most envious of your opportunity to make images at Bosque :)

I like the combination of motion blur in the wing tips with the sharpness of the rest of the bird. Great light and pose and I would try to tone down a litle bit the BG to made the bird pop more.

Hi Dan, Thanks again for joining us. For those who stuck around for two days, things got really wild. But for the head turn, I really like the image. It is very sharp. For the repost, I softened up the sharper stalks of grass and followed that up with a five pixel Gaussian blur on most of the BKGR.

Though Juan is a Photoshop wiz and has a great eye in this case I actually prefer your lighter original post. Thanks to Juan though for the repost.

Thanks, all. Some great feedback and tips. I agree that slightly blurring the background is a good improvement.
