I found this guy during a walk to the Mesologi Lagoon (Greece, Europe).
Picture taken with a Canon 350D and my 100-400L. (400mm, 1/800, f/5.6, ISO 400)
Thanks for looking. Comments are welcome.
I like it a lot Petros Very fond of images with feel and this has it all over If it is ok with you might take out the tube on back of the bird and the horizontal lines are a bit distracting !!!! Big Congrats !!!!!
Welcome, Petros
The composition works well.....nice use of the "rule of thirds". I like the size of the bird in the image......I think it adds to the mood with the lighting. My first impression when I saw it was that I'd at least smooth out the horizontal lines. As to cloning out the pipe behind the bird......it doesn't exactly seem to add anything to the image but when I cover it over.....the image seems to be missing something without it. I'd leave it.
I like the way Egret's pose and head angle. I particularly like the position and clear view of the yellow feet clutching the perch. I find the pole, the lines in the bg, and the lighter areas in the bg distracting. I really like the soft colors in the bg though.
