    I photographed this Shag on the Farne Islands last May. Light was pretty poor. 1d2n Sigma 500 F4.5 400iso 1/650sec

    Stunning portrait, with excellent detail, wonderful eye contact and a very beautiful BG. Placed well in the frame and the lighting looks very favorable to me. Beautifully captured and no nits for me.

    That type light can bring great results as in this case !!!! Love it all One good looking bird !!! Big Congrats !!!!

    What a wonderful portrait to the last detail. It leaves me wanting for a bit more of the neck from the compo pint of view :)

    Really strong portrait. I might be tempted to boost the saturation on the overall image (and then tone down the yellows).
