I was looking to take an isolated shot of the lounging mother but, the cub ran up from behind just as I depressed the shutter. I thought it made an interesting composition. An almost full frame shot.

I do like the look Krish and the beam of sun accentuates that well. I think the BG tiger is distracting with its head right behind the FG tiger. It you had gotten an image just before or after this one, its positioning may be better. Two of three steps more and the BG one would have its head to the left and that might have been more pleasing.

The image is a bit flat due to the light. I suggest you use an s-curve to increase the contrast.

We are looking forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks for posting.

    Thanks Robert,
All good points and much appreciated. Will post the one without the BG tiger. Actually the light is flat due to the dust for most parts. The reason for choosing this shot was, the look of the FG tiger was the best here :-)

Thanks everyone for your very helpful suggestions and comments !

Well I reworked the same image and eliminated the BG Tiger. How does it look now ?

    Hi Krish,
You have done a really good job in removing the BKGR and the image is much better as a result. There is some evidence of cloning ( repeated patterns ) but you have to look hard to see them.
Maybe you can share your method. Did you use another image without the tigers and blend them together or is it mainly use of the clone tool?

    Cheers

    Hi Austin,

I had another photograph in the same position where the BG tiger was not present. I blended that portion for most parts and then, did some minor cloning.

Well, this kind of re-work is something I avoid mostly. Id rather do a good job of the capture in camera :-)

Thanks for looking and your kind comments.

    Best Regards

Krishan, with the BG tiger gone (good job BTW) I'd think about cropping a bit off the top and right side. His face is so strong it's a shame to have all that BG showing when we could be looking at HIM!

Thanks for your suggestions Julie & John

Here is the cropped version, I also touched up a few obvious cloning areas.

    Krish,

Nice work. Only thing I would suggest is a selection of the BG and a Gaussian Blur would even out the blending.

    Krish,
I agree with the suggestions. The final post works better. I like that composition. I agree that at times the dust raised by the jeeps is maddening and ruins the images. I have lots of images ruined by dust. Look forward to more images.
