    I made this image today, while we had really bad weather, snow and rain all day long....

    Mark III
    Canon 500mm + Extension tube
    f 4.5
    1/400 sec
    ISO 2000 (!)

    Gee wizz ISO 2000 - very nice shot - are the whites just a little burn't out or is it just that the plumage is wet? Nice capture - a different shot - I like it very much

    Lovely image. Wonderfully composed and the o-o-f focus teasel is super. Love the sharpness of the spines near the bird. Whites look fine to me.

    Great all around! The BG is so smooth and a solid color (Don't know the right word, I mean there are no different tones), the OOF teasel goes great with the bird! pose, comp, etc! really nice! And ISO 2000! As Bob said... WOW!
