Hi Monte - agree with desmond - his repost is a improvement still looks a little soft to me, maybe you need to stop down another stop or so with that converter - also could be your tripod / long lens technique - with a 2 x converter on a long lens you are going to have to put in a bit of practise to achieve sharp images - IMHO.
Keep them coming.
:)
Hi Monte,
The image is under exposed. and on the soft side, the head angle is off. I also see some cloning artifacts around the bill area. Desmond, on the reposted image, the same cloning artifacts around the bill were more prominent due to the selective sharpening that was applied...and finally, the capture angle is a bit steep side. Looking forward to the next one Monte...
With the current program glitch we have going is tough to evaluate things but here is my take.
Would like seeing a little more room, a bit tight. Your focal length has helped flatten the angle but laying flat would have produced a clean bg !! For those birds you should be able to approach. Just a step at a time and usually they won't fly away !!! Settings wise not sure I would ever go to ISO 100 even 200. When I had a Mk2n (one of my all time favorite cameras) 400 was my standard. Try photographing a target a various ISOs and see the difference !!!
Agree the image should be a little lighter and would like to have a better head angle !!!
