Hi Jeni - love the interaction, looks a litle soft on my screen - shutter speed a little slow at 120th with the 400mm focal length - could have bumped the ISO up to get the fatser shutter speed. I would add a tad more sharpening to the birds and see if I could tone down the bright yellow spots in the BG although they do match teh colour of the bird nearly - just a bit bright and draw your eyes away from the action.

    Love the ACTION - Well done :) :) :)

Thanks Lance - Shutter speed is a typo;:o was actually 1/1200 sec.
Agree it does look a little soft but don't think extra sharpening will help.
Maybe less movement on behalf of photographer!;)

Have sharpened a bit - the toning down down makes it really dark ( needed that flash I know:o)
Yip, exactly that :) - plus my makeshift hide in the middle of a bush has a plank I lean on but which sorta rocks in the wind:cool:

    Great thread !!!

Jeni keep in mind noise beats soft any day !!! I like your thinking in not over sharpening the image when the original isn't tack sharp. I can live with a little soft but not with the strange over sharpened look !!!

Great interaction with to good head positions and love the little guys raised wings !!!

Like the moment you have captured here too Jeni. You seem to know when to press the shutter button:)
