Another visitor caught on a dead Cholla branch in our garden. Love these Cactus Wrens who build a nest in a cactus with the entrance on the bottom. Like the Curve-billed Thrasher they keep up an endless chatter with 2 entirely different calls.
CC's welcome and always appreciated.

HI Gus - wish I had 1/1000th of the birds you have in your garden. Nice bird - like the pose. The dark section in the upper LHC especially the contrast line formed by the dark and light sections tends to draw my attention away from your subject.
Intresting pattern in the BG on the LHS - would have like to see that throughout. Exposure looks good.
:)
Love the bird, Oom Gus - agree with Lance re the number of species you have in the garden!!
Can't wait to see what paintwork you're going to come up with!!:):)
Hi Guys Lovely capture but would like more room, bird is centered in frame, particularly up front !!!
The bg is interesting, normally I don't like anything light but this is appealing. Having a big chunk of the bird in front of the white looks good. btw for some of these you can do a gaussian blur on the bg and really makes them look smooth !!!
Uncle Gus,
The bird is too centered in frame, would crop from the right and add canvas to the left. I'm still debating about the white blotch in front of the bird...
