    One of the great things about holiday time besides the drinking is shooting in front of the tree with a 1.4 lens to get that Xmas bokeh ...

    they're great. If I could I'd get that 1.2 lens but it would have limited use so not worth the price ...

    this guy I know has the old 50 1.0L. It's huge and heavy, but the portraits it takes wide open are unreal. I saw Zeiss is coming out with a 85 1.2 that will work on Canon cameras (think it's only manual though)....

    Canon has a 85 1.2L (had one) really nice but huge also !!!

    the zeiss lens looks like it will be much smaller ...
