Default Big Horn in the snow

This is a shot moments before the protrait shot I posted a few days ago. This single big horn ram came down to the road because of the snow, and more importantly the snow plow and its salt.

With the snow I had consistent light, so the challenge with this shot was removing the road, the ram was about 6 inches from the roadway so I cloned out the road using this shot and a few other shots. I also worked on the eyes a bit making them a bit lighter and more saturated.

    D300, 500mm f4 @ f6.3 1/320 ISO 400, tripod cropped just a bit bottom, left, and top.

Very nice. I like the head on view and the falling snow.

    Jared,

I agree with Dan's comments. I suggest you try a Shadows/Highlights adjustment. I tried it and a lot of detail is brought out in the chest and legs.
