    I agree with your comment re more DOF, Gary. A little more space on the left (ideally) or a little less on the right would decenter the bird and strengthen the composition I think. The image looks a little oversharpened and this has accentuated some noise in the BG but I really like the soft textures of the plumage and that bright eye.

    I agree with more canvas on the left to off center the bird but love the beautiful lighting, color and detail as well as the pose you captured in this image. The BG and perch are also lovely. thanks for sharing Gary.

    Hey Gary, I like this a lot as is. If you went to enough d-o-f to sharpen the whole bird you would be bringing up too much BKGR detail.
