November 2008, Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhya Pradesh, India
A rather young tigress with three cubs. We spotted a total of eight different tigers over three days.
The trouble with photographing these is that there are a lot of safari vehicles and noise and pretty soon the tigers get disturbed and move. Not much time to think and shoot I thought.
Cropped off a tree trunk on the right. This is 75% of the frame.

I like the dappled light on the tigers and your exposure worked well to capture the contrast of the scene. I would have preferred not to have the tall OOF grasses in front of them or the taller two stems behind them but sometimes that is unavoidable. I think a tighter crop might add more emphasis on the faces as that is the most interesting part of the image and lessen/eliminate some of the distractions. I reposted a possible version.
A tighter crop would also make a good image !! I sort of like the feel of this one with the selected crop Cleaning the grass in front of the face is a personal choice, rather not have it but doesn't bother me much !!
In my opinion the tighter crops works here because you were not able to get all of the subjects into the frame on the original. The intensity of the eye is great.
Krish,
The tighter crop works better than the original post. In the original, the fore paw is cropped. I would have preferred inclusion of the entire leg. The dappled light is nice. It is nice as the eye is lighted and makes it interesting. The f7.1 gives good depth of field. Thanks for sharing.
