Harold, I think the BG color is soft and beautiful. I think you should clone the branch-

I like the bg Harold and the whites look great !!! Would do away with the vegetation !!!

With these is the luck of the draw for wing position since we can't rapid fire and cycle the flash !!! Wings fully out would have been great !!! You did well !!!

I agree with Denise on the branch around the beak. It is a great shot.

Very nice picture of an Ibis in flight. Nice detail in the feathers. Very good use of flash. The white look right on. Nice placement of the subject in frame (In my opinion). If it were mind I would eliminate the vegetation. If the far wing presented as the near wing the image would have been ext book. However, I think this presents very well as is! Good show.

    Doctor Davis,
I like the composition without the green leaves....because its competing with your main subject. The details are great and I like the flight angle...

Love the detail on the bird. Would also do away with the vegetation. Bird would really "Pop" then.

Nice capture Harold. Do the whites on the one wing need to be toned down just a bit??
VWD. Never even tried a BIF, looks like it is very hard to do!

thanks jackie! the whites dont show being blown but can be toned down. as far as bif, just get yourself a decent lens and fire away!! if you have ever shot trap or skeet, the same skills apply. lead you subject and follow through!!!!
