    this nuthatch wouln't go away. i kept shooting and shooting and it just kept posing away. i tried to keep everything in mind, it was overcast and i just shot.

    Hi Mike you got a funny pose !!!

    I like the bird placement and the extra space up front The image is reasonably sharp for 1/60 sec Sure wish you had more light there !!!

    One think you might try Mike ... have you thought of using some fill flash? Will help in giving the bird some life and a great catch light which always brightens the eye !! Using will be no problem and will give you pointers !!!

    Indeed a odd pose. agree with Mr. Forns on the techs. Fill flash is the way to go...:cool:

    i have others of this bird with better shutter speed. i just chose this one because i put the most work into it. i'll post another tomorrow, but i just found this picture which just facinates me and i'd like to share it. it is really just one of those odd balls but i really like it.
    i'd like to know more about fill flash. maybe i'll need it, but i really need it in summer time because of the thick foliage. i think i just chose a poor picture for you guys to review. believe it or not i still get thrilled with pictures and what i can do with them digitally adds to that enjoyment.
