    D70 500/4 f4 1/250 iso 200
    This is the same bird as an earlier post. The head is not as sharp as I would like because of the relatively slow shutter speed. I should have bumped up the ISO to 400, which is still acceptable on the D70.

    BTW, I cropped the image to vertical and added some canvas at the top, plus the usual PS adjustments.

    Great action and BG. As you mentioned there is some blur in the head. The FG is very nce and not distracting. Overall the image seems a bit dark.

    Very striking image and I love the action you captured here. I do find it a bit dark and as you mentioned the head is not as sharp as you would like but overall a very beautiful and pleasing image.

    Thanks to all for your comments. I brightened the image in Levels, increased the contrast a bit, and applied a little more USM to the front of the head. What do you think?
