Here's another try at a blur-After I softened it I added some bold colors to put my own twist on it

Michael I wanted to retain the small fold on the right-so this is as far as I can go. Is it better?

I do like the repost .... I see your point about not losing the fold. I'm on a crappy monitor but maybe selectively boosting contrast on the folks to make the fold pop out more ...

    would make a nice print

Denise, the colors are just fantastic in this. Despite the whole image being blurred I don't feel like it's blurred and that's saying something. My one suggestion would be to consider cropping the very bottom off where the LRC has the back petals showing. Just slice that little bit off so all you see is the front flower - I think that would strengthen your composition even more.

I bought some roses at the store yesterday but haven't managed to get any images I love out of them yet. Maybe by the weekend!

Julie, I cropped as you suggested -hope it looks better.

Michael- I tried a contrast boost but felt it changed the mood of the picture too much-Thanks!

    Hey Denise,
My vote is for final crop. Nice soft feel and colors. My only recommendation.......would be to blend/soften the central white sliver..........as it looks sharper/brighter........than the rest of the image. Not sure what it will do to the final presentation though.

I see something else. I like everything about this, except the white border on the top left, that extends to the middle of the frame. The center is lovely and warm and that distraction just takes a lot away from it.

    Lady Denise,
I like the third composition...need to tone down the white lip on the petal...super tones and delicate hues...very nice...
