I always find these busy habitat images very challenging. I love the plumage on the adults this time of year! So I stopped down just enough to get the eye and that back/side plumage in focus but not bring too much of the BG in. Again, I created this image from the bottom of the boardwalk, between the slats as I couldn't back off to create a less steep angle. I do wish that one leaf stalk going from top to bottom in front of this beauty wasn't there.

I like the fluffed-up pose, details and soft light. It would be a bit of work but you could try to clone out the vertical stalk.

That's waaaay beyond my cloning abilities, unfortunately.One day I'll learn advanced photoshop tecniques.....
