    this is the first time i've seen this bird in my backyard. i've seen them about, but never before in my backyard.
    the only thing i know is wrong is the picture is too low in the frame. the bg was easy.(maybe that's not good):o

    Not really Mike Placement seems fine and you have the little extra up front !!!

    Bg looks good just wish it was a little sharper I'm sure it has to do with the low shutter speed, might consider going even higher with the ISO I know it will increase noise and reduce image quality but in the words of Chas Glatzer ...... Noise beats un-sharpness every time !!!! :)

    Hi Mike,
    My problem with this image, is the the bird is not sharp, especially the eye; which is the most important factor. I personally don't mind the noise; but the sharpness is critical...the placement of the bird in frame is fine, and so is the head angle. you need to start concentrating on the eyes...SHARP

    do you guys mean i should up the sharpness or do a better job on focus?
