    Hi Folks:

    Have had Curve-billed Thrashers living in this Cholla Cactus in our garden for the 18 years we have lived here. Blown over in a fierce Monsoon one year blowing the nest and 2 chicks into a raging torrent. However, we were able to rescued them and had the Cholla righted a couple of days later. They are a fierce bird and take no crap from even the Hawks . . .Not artistic but depicts their natural envirenment

    .... that it does Gus !!! If you are showing the environment might show a little more.

    Did real well with the light, for these would fill flash to help out with shadows !!!

    Definitely very sharp Gus and a very nice pose. I like habitat shots.
    Of the head shots I prefer the natural look to the others.

    gotta be tough to live in those thorns!! they are cool looking birds. i enjoy your thrasher images!!

    You got yourself a mean looking bird. I like the natural habitat. The eye says it all. a mean determined look...:cool:
