    Default Amazon Tree Frog

one of the critters at the new Amazon exhibit at Metrozoo. Did not have polarizer and had to use 70-200 2.8L with no close up filter to get a shot. I under exposed by 1 1/3 Ev and got a decent pic. I burned out any remaining reflections from the glass.

I'd say for a "behind glass" image you did pretty darn good Michael! I wish his back were as sharply focused as his head and eye but considering your limitations of what you had to work with I think you made the best of the situation. The colors are vibrant and interesting but I'm wondering if his head isn't a little oversaturated? I really like your composition - nice and tight - with the branch going diagonally through the image. Getting him looking your direction would have been even better but you got a good shot at his eye and he is quite the cute little frog!

Great looking frog and a nice effort considering the situation. I would also suggest shooting this at a slightly lower angle.

Hey Michael, agree with other on the back being soft on focus. Like the nice green, really pops. Nice sharp details on the head.

    Hello Michael,

Good job for a shot behing the glass! The colors are vivid and having it within the diagonal with this black bg is great! The only things perhaps is the short depth of field. With a smaller aperture, all the frog would have been in focus. I don't know if you used a tripod but for a smaller aperture here, this piece of equipment would have been compulsory (in oder to go under 1/100s).

Great job and very well done! :-)

    Michel
