    Tried this mallard portrait and this BG was almost gone and I didn't like so I used the paint bucket tool and filled it in at 242 RGB values.
    40D
    ISO 800
    1/80s (don't faint Al)
    100-400 @ 400
    +1 2/3 EV
    Tripod
    Full Frame
    Should have used more DOF for the beak???

    i dont mind the dof at all!! only wished you had panned right just a hair. like what you did with the bg! nice and sharp with lots of detail and the eye is SWEET!!!!

    at second glance, i think a crop off the top and left and you got it!!

    I like the tight crop Jackie Sort of wish you had more room at the right even at the expense of eliminating part of the left side !! Love the green tones !!!!
