I bought four beautiful roses at the grocery store today. This one was the softest red-coral color and it made for a nice first print but then I wanted to see the "bones" of it without all that color. I converted it to a quadtone using black, dark burgandy, green, and orange and this is what I came up with. I added a border taken from one of the tones in the image and did a slight curves adjustment. I actually think I like this better than the original!

Julie, This is really nice. I like your inclusion of slight color-works really well here. Before you print maybe check left side of rose . Really nice Jules!!!

    Jules,
Great job bringing out the shapes and textures; love the toning too! Beautiful simple composition. As Denise noted, there does seem to be something odd on the left edge of the rose.
